The wedding season is now in full swing, and we are delighted to have already been part of so many lovely bride and grooms big days.
Here are just a few of April and May's weddings:
Last year we were approached by the Depot in Cardiff to feature in their street food offering during the festive period. The 24,000 sq ft, former warehouse is host to a hidden speakeasy, a series Bingo Lingo nights and a number of other events.
The team served thousands of visitors over a four week period, selling sweet and savory treats that complimented the events other food and drink offerings. These included a pulled brisket beef chilli with nachos, sour cream, guacamole and a vegan saag aloo, which is a sweet potato, cauliflower and spinach curry.
We also served a selection of baked treats, including chocolate chip cookies, Tom's famous chocolate brownie, festive baklava and beignets, served with chocolate sauce, cinnamon and cream (a regular sell out).
Did you know that Sticky Fig Catering cater for smaller private get together's in your home too? Last week we delivered our first private function in a clients home this year. A family gathering, celebrating a regular customers birthday.
Our clients guests were greeted with a selection of canapes, including mini Yorkshires with rare beef and horseradish, chicken liver pate on bite sized crostinis and smocked haddock beignets.
The meal started with a light scallop dish, served with a citrus salad, sweet potato puree and crispy Parma ham. This was followed by duck breast, served with a confit duck bon bon, fondant potatoes, red cabbage and carrot puree. To finish the meal, guests enjoyed an assiette of desserts, with chocolate brownie and cream, a Eaton Mess shot and a mini crème brûlée.

The naked cake has proved to be very popular this wedding season, with many of our bride and grooms choosing to forgo a heavy traditional fruit cake for something lighter and that suits their taste.
We've baked rich chocolate cakes, light lemon cakes, nutty coffee cakes, traditional Victoria sponge cakes... (the list is endless and open to the imagination of our brides and grooms).
Our naked cakes have also gone down a storm at birthday parties, tea parties and anniversaries. So let them eat cake and order one for your event today.
